UNIFORM
Students are expected to wear appropriate dance apparel to their classes. This is to allow ease of movement and so teachers can give them appropriate corrections. Hair needs to be in a tidy updo which keeps the hair off the dancer's face so it doesn't distract them. Ballerinas should come with their hair in a bun.

There is no uniform for non-exam classes, however, students are expected to wear clothes appropriate for dancing. This could include leotards, leggings, bike shorts, and fitted singlets, and t-shirts.

There is a uniform for all students enrolled in exam classes. You can purchase the uniform from Beulah Grace Dance and Sportswear. Additional items such as studio jackets and bags may also be purchased here.

Dancers must also have the appropriate footwear. Tap shoes for tap, ballet shoes for ballet, jazz shoes for jazz, and foot undies or bare feet for lyrical and contemporary. Footwear can be purchased online or at Dance Stop in Lower Hutt.
